It happened fast. I finished levels 1-3 of my keelboat course, and I thought- “I’m not going to get any better at this or be able to practice unless I have my own boat”. This was not strictly true. I had used a crew finder facebook group and been out, I also had been out on a friend’s boat. So, the truth (thinly veiled, even to myself) was I wanted my own boat, and I wanted to sail when I wanted.
